I am interested in locating information about the family of Elizabeth Fooshee/Foushee who married John Jay in Person County in the late 1700's.
Is there anyone on this list who is a descendant of this couple? >>Bride: Elizabeth Fooshee >>Groom: John Jay >>Bond Date: 06 Mar 1794 >>County: Person >>Record #: 01 084 >>Bondsman: Wm Hargis >>Witness: J Womack >>Bond #: 000107986 >>North Carolina Marriage Bonds, 1741-1868
I am particularly interested in the given names of their children.
I have several great-aunts who married into the Fooshee/Foushee family of the Person/Caswell area. I wonder what you know of Elizabeth Fooshee's heritage. I am wondering if she were a sister of Adnah Campbell Foushee who was the progenitor of the Foushee father and son who married my great-aunts. Ere you think that this was an incestuous family, the father married a second time; he married the elder sister of his son's wife, making the two sisters add the relationship of mother-in-law/daughter-in-law to their profile; and their children share the first cousin/ neice/nephew/aunt/uncle relationships, as there were offspring of both marriages.
Thanks in advance for your help on this.
