Searching for any info:trying to connect the link here-my great grandmother was named Virginia Savanna Foxworth, but may be listed just as Savanna Foxworth. She was born in 1876 in Georgia. In the 1920 census it had her listed as age 44 and a widow, so I'm assuming her husband, had died prior to 1920?It appears they may have been living at 98 Maple Street in Fulton County Georgia. I am searching for her husband (my great-grandfather) who's name was Colie or Calie M. Foxworth who may have been born in December 1868 in Georgia.Colie's (Calie's) father who would be my great-great grandfather was born in Georgia. I have no name and searching for one, and his mother, who would have been my great-great grandmother was born in South Carolina. Her name may have been Margaret Foxworth, born in May 1840.
It appears that Margaret Foxworth may have had 14 children/10 of whom lived:their names would be Mary Foxworth-born April 1875; Bella Foxworth (spelling?) born in 1880, Otis Foxworth-born in July 188?, Lizzie Foxworth-born in April 1886, and a possible daughter or granddaughter to Margaret, whose name was Leila Foxworth-born September 188?The census states that a niece of Margaret's was living in the household at the time, an Ella Dennis born Dec 1887.They were all born in Georgia, except Margaret, who was born in S.Carolina.I am looking for more, maybe who Margaret's husband was or who she bore these children with?
More recently-my greatgrandmother, Virgina Savanna Foxworth, or Savanna Foxworth, bore children who were Henry Foxworth-born around 1910 in Alabama (I discovered he later married a Helen Mabel Foxworth-who recently died in 1995 in Akron, Summit County, Ohio in 1995-Helen was Hungarian? and the obit list her nearest relative as her brother an Edward Szachal (spelling) of Massachuetts). They had no children together-but Henry did bore other children who's names are Virginia (apparently named after his mother) and Carolyn.I was told that Henry died in Cleveland, Ohio at Metro Hospital on the West Side of Cleveland, but at the time of his death-the hospital may have been City?Death date uknown.
Virginia "Savanna" Foxworth's other children were:Emory Foxworth, born in Alabama around 1904 working as a deliver for a dry good store. Not sure of his decendants or deatd date or death place? Other child was Stanley Foxworth-who may be spelled Stanton Foxworth in the 1920 census for Fulton County, Georgia.Stanley was born in Alabama also, around 1902 and worked as a Carpenter for some type of Soda Supply Company. Other child was Margaret Foxworth (who I'm assuming may have been name after her husband's, Colie or Calie, mother. Margaret was born in Alabama also, born in December 1912.Margaret died in December 1984 in Cleveland, Ohio and is buried there.Margaret was born a twin.I believe the twin died at birth-sex unknown. Last child of Viginia "Savanna" Foxworth and Calie (Colie) M. Foxworth, was Johnnie (different spelling variations) Foxworth.Johnnie Foxworth is my grandfather. He was born in Alabama on 9-1-06 and died on 1/1/1988.He died and is buried in Cleveland, Ohio.According to the 1930 census for Cleveland, Ohio, my grandfather Johnnie Foxworth married a woman named Coral.Coral, I assume took on the last name Foxworth, butam unsure what her maidenname was?She was born around 1907 in Texas, and her parents-names unknown to me were born in Texas also.Coral possibly worked in a stenography office in Texas?
Coral is not my grandmother, but my grandfather's 1st wife-I don't believe they had any children. My grandfather later married my grandmother-Syvia McNeal (maiden)-who later became Sylvia Foxworth. This part of the family, including myself was raised in Cleveland, Ohio.My grandmother is still living.Togther, my grandparents had 3 children:John or Johnnie Alonzo Foxworth, who was killed in 1977 or 1978 and is buried in Cleveland, Ohio, Margaret Foxworth (who was name after her great-grandmother and aunt)-she is still alive, and my father Colie Foxworth-he is still alive and was named after his grandfather.
Virginia "Savanna" Foxworth maiden name is Robinson and I have been told that her uncle or brother's name was LG Robinson, I have no idea what LG stands for, if anything, helped found a famous funeral home in Los Angeles, called the "Angeles Funeral Home" on Crenshaw Blvd.I discovered that LG died, and I at one point emailed the funeral home for info on him or his remaining family, but they did not respond.
I know this is a lot, but if someone out there can help me connect the dots and give me more info, or if we may be related.Any info will help-you can email me directly at email@example.com
