1 - enter the following address:http://memory.loc.govhttp://memory.loc.gov 2 - click on Search 3 - enter foxworthy in the search box, click on the SEARCH button, then on Continue 4 - Your search should result in 22 items to choose from where the name Foxworthy is listed. 5 - Item 1 - Click on the highlighted and underlined text, which will take you to additional information, with a link at the near bottom which reads View bill H.R. 347. 6 - Click on H.R. 347 and you will be taken to an actual copy of the bill. 7 - Item 10 - Click on the highlighted and underlined text to get to this day's proceedings.Scroll down to page 517 and about half way down the page you will read:The President of the United States approved and signed, the 28th June 1836, the following acts, viz.:On page 518 William Foxworthy's name appears below center of the page.On either page click on "Page image" to have a look at the actual page of the Journal of the Senate. 8 - Item 19 - Click on the highlighted and underlined text; when image appears, click on "Page image" and enter page 260, which tells you that Mr. French presented William Foxworthy's pension petition.Go back one screen, and center page 358 in the page window, and on the last line of this page you will read that Mr. Storer made a report of the petition. 9 - Item 20 - Click on the highlighted and underlined text; when next page appears, click on NAVIGATOR, then in the next screen, click on United States statues at large, 1789-1873: Index.Next click on Statutes at Large.At the next screen, click on Volume VI, and at the next screen you should enter page 651.This gives full approval of William's pension.
