Regular monthly meeting of the Township Committee, Sept. 24, 1886.All members present, except Mr. Root.
Mr. Denman, committtee on poor, reported having made inquiry regarding bill of St. Barnabas Hospital for board of Richard Hunter, and recommended the same be paid.On motion bill of $12 was ordered paid.
Moved and carried that plurius warrants be again isssued for taxes still unpaid for the years 83-84-85.
The following bills were presented and duly passsed. Repairs to Poor House, Roberts & Mundy, hardware, etc., $43.19; G.W. Reeve, carpenter work, $141.30; Smith & Co.;, lumber, $31.97; J. P. Lynch, mason, $57.50. Road districts; S. H. Meeker, No.8, $75; L.T. Brokaw, No. 19, $32; W. R. Seaver, No. 17, $34.79.C.H. Roll, office rent 6 months, $12.50. Services of Committeeman to date:C. T. Root, $22; C. H. Roll, $32; L. W. Badger, $34; A.J.C. Foye, $35; Thos. Denman, $36; C. G. Van Guilder, clerk, $27.
Mr. Foye, chairman, requesting Mr. Badger to occupy the chair, addressed the committee, thanking them for the courtexy shown him, while chairmand and expressed regret in being compelled to sever his connection with them in consequence of changing his place of residence, thereupon tendering his resignation as a member of the Board.
On motion of Mr. Roll, duly seconded by Mr. Denman, the resignation of Mr. Foye was accepted and
RESOLVED--In accepting the resignation of our fellow and member and chairman, Mr. A. J. C. Foye, we desire to place on record our high appreciation of the ability and courtesy and unswerving integrity with which he has discharged the duties of his office, and to express ou unfeigned regret at his withdrawal from the Township Committtee.
