Brenda (UK), Brenda (Aust.), Bonnie and anyone else out there interested in the Fradd family.
Sorry for the delay in coming back - this has been due to the time needed to dig out all my old records (most of my research was done 10+ years ago and I was in contact with David Lambert amongst others at that time). As I was then living in Truro, Cornwall, (now in North Devon) I was able to research parish records etc. direct so obtained a lot of information.
It looks as if most of you are on a different part of the family tree to me (you have to go back to the early 1600's before we coincide, I believe, although a lot of the links are guesswork from that time), although everyone seems to have originated from the parish of St Kew.
I am distantly related to Michael - his William Vivian Fradd is the grandson of William Fradd (bap. 24.5.1797) who was the elder brother of my Gr Gr grandfather, Francis Fradd (bap 6.1.1807).They also had a brother Richard, bap 27.12.1799 at Little Petherick where the family was living at that time and I think there may have been a misprint somewhere which suggested 1779 as quoted in Bonnie' message.Richard moved with the family to Padstow where he married Maria Odgers Pearson 8.11.1821 and then went on to have two sons, Harvey Pearson Fradd (18.7.1826) and Thomas Pearson Fradd (20.6.1837).
Several branches of this side of the family emigrated to Australia and I do have quite a lot of details which I would be happy to provide if anyone is interested.
I do have a lot of information regarding your side of the family, including Charles Constantine - did you know that the Constantine probably comes from his uncle/great uncle Constantine Moyle who was appointed one of the executors of William Fradd, brother of the Charles Fradd who was grandfather of Richard Fradd (married Ann Ede), with Richard being the main beneficiary.
I was also reading the message regarding Richard Fradd and Elizabeth Warren(Werren). From the parish records I found more children than were listed - as well as Henry and Edwin there were:-
William Henry - bap 16.5.1829 - butcher, who married Ellen Ann ? on 24.8.1856 Horatio - bap 18.7.1831 Joseph Ede - bap 22.7.1833 Richard - bap 1834, died 11.3.1835 Elizabeth Ann - bap?, died 23.8.1838 Charles Richard - bap 29.11.1842, married Nanny Trebilcock 1864
I did think that Richard died in Egloshayle and was buried there 28.4.1888 but perhaps I am wrong. His second wife was called Betsy but I don't know her surname - she was buried 5.1.1861 aged 39 years.
I do hope some of the above is of interest to someone out there and if you think I might have some information that could be of help, please let me know - my e-mail address is email@example.com
