Alva E. Dorman passed away suddenly at his home at [left blank].
Mr. Dorman was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dorman and was born at
Marion, Iowa, Sept. 18, 1868. For twelve years the family lived in Kansas
and in 1902 moved to this city where they have since made their home.
Besides his mother who resides in the city, he is survived by two half
brothers and one half sister: Bert VanTassel of Ottumwa, Walter VanTassel of
Keokuk and Mrs. Bessie Frakes of Glendale. On Dec. 18, 1913 at Columbus
Junction he was united in marriage to Miss Elizabeth Worley who is left to
mourn his loss.
He has been an efficient employee of the Louden Machinery Company. A
number of years ago he was united with the Baptist church and was also
affiliated with the Woodmen of the World. Many friends will extend sympathy
to the sorrowing family at this time.
