Please let me introduce myself, my name is Lorrraine Weideman, I am a Canadian who is researching my family genealogy. In doing so I have come across a photograph in my Grandmother, Rose Marie Weideman (nee Franz) things and it is of a grave site visited on a journey she made to Romania in 1987. The head stone reads "Elisabeth Oprea geb. Hoff20.5.1880 - 15.3.1965". This I believe would be my Grandmother's Mother's older sister. My Grandmother's Mother Maria Anna Franz (born Hoff) immigrated to Canada with her husband Nicholas Franz and my Grandmother Rose Maire around 1911-14 from Moravitza, Hungary - Moravitz, Romania. Both her Mother and Father died shortly after arriving in Canada. My Grandmother pass away in 1988 and never remember much of her home land.
