Christina Fraser married Robert Mcleod (b. 7.1.1811 Croik, Scotland) on 12.11.1836 in Glasgow.Robert was 25 she was only 16. I am trying to find a Robert Mcleod born about 1830 who was with Robert Mcleod Snrand his wife Fanny (nee Liddle) (the Robert b 1811 parents) on the 1841 Census for Scotland, where the young Robert was 10 years old. AsFanny would have been in her 50's in 1841 perhaps the young boy, Robert, was their grandson, and possibly an illegitimate son of Christina Fraser and Robert Mcleod?I have been told it was custom for illegitimate children to go to their grandparents.
Robert and Christina lived in Aberdeen - he was a boilermaker, but in 1861 they were in Eglington Street, Glasgow and at the time of his death in 1866 he was a shopokeeper/confectioner.They seemed to have no (other?) children. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Denise
