Howard Minard Frayer Obit
ADRIAN — Howard Minard Frayer, age 93, of Adrian passed away Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008, at Bixby Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 22, 1914, in Deerfield, to James and Nancy (Diver) Frayer. On Sept. 23, 1943, he married Rachel Beal. She preceded him in death on May 29, 1990. Howard served in the U.S. Navy, during the Pacific Theatre and World War II. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Howard was a life member of the Lenawee Historical Society and a past member of the Civil War Round Table.
Howard is survived by his son, John Frayer of Adrian; one brother, Gerald Frayer and his wife, Sharon, of Quartz Hill, Calif.; two sisters-in-law, Marie Lichtle of Toledo and Vivian Beal of California; a special niece, Nancy Diver-Frayer of Toledo; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and two brothers, Lee and Russell.
At Howard’s request cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Interment of cremains will be in West Madison Cemetery.
