The problem is that there are 2 George Thomas Frazier's from the same time period.
George Thomas Frazier son of John Frazier and Mary Falconer. I believe he is the one born in Inverness, Scotland Bet 1725 and 1736
There is a George Thomas Frazier son of Alexander Frazier/Fraser m. Sarah Coppock. He is the one I beleive was born Portsmouth, Isle Of Wight, Virginia [per LDS records]
Alexander Fraser was son of Alexander Fraser and Catherine Glendunning/Glendining
Catherine Glendunning was the daughter of George Glendunning and Eupham Nisbet
George Glendiningwas son of George who was son of George.
George is not a popular Fraser/Frazier first name.
It seems to me that it is not too unreasonable to believe that George Thomas Frazier got his first name from his father Alexander's maternal grandfather. Some records show him as Thomas.Perhaps he was called Thomas within the lifetime of his great-grandfather George Glendunning.
My great-great grand mother was Mary Frazier who was descended from George Thomas Frazier and Mary Pugh.
Mary Frazier married Daniel S Hagerman dau Bertha Mae Hagerman m. William Otto Behne dau Selma Bertha Behne m. Edward Earl Rolland dau Carol Diane Rolland m. Burton Martin Hagelin Mark Brian Hagelin
I have traced numerous Frazier/Fraser lines collapsing most of them or at least knowing their point of the origin.
I have used LDS and Fraser clan records.I am within a few generation of taking the Frazier line of George Thomas Frazier back to around 1100 AD and George Fraser of Tweeddale, Peebleshire, Scotland. He had 3 sons, 2 of whjich are responsible for most/all of the Frasr lines, Gilbert, Adam [and Bernard].
