Note on Robert Clark/e who married Selinah Smith. I stated that his parents were Robert Clarke and Ann Seymour, married Philip lynes after Robert. I am not sure this is correct now. Robert who married Selinah is supposedly son of John Clarke and Ann ?, I believe this is stated in Barnes History of Baltimore County. He is often listed as Son of John Clarke who married Ann and was son of Robert Clarke, Esc. The Surveyor, however I have doubts about this. The Robert Clark who married Selinah had a Sister Hester, who married Issac Butterworth, mentioned in Butterworth's will as brother to his wife Hester. I suspect he also had a brother John who was also at St. George's Parish Baltimore County and began purchasing land at the same time Robert was in that area. They both purchased land from John Maceleroy in Baltimore County in 1718. They both patented and purchased quite a number of properties over the years.
