Syndi, I haven't found anything on Job's parents yet, but would like to be in touch with another researcher of south GA and Florida Freeman's. My earliest known Freeman, my great great grandfather Richard Freeman b.c. 1800 was in Thomas Co. GA about the same time Job showed up just south of there in Jefferson Co FL.
There were four other Freeman households in Thomas Co. at the time. William 70/80 yrs old with wife and several family members. Joseph 40/50 yrs old with his wife and children. Cuyler 20/30 yrs old with his wife Abygill from Screven Co. he was the son of Benjamin Freeman and grandson of John Freeman, both from Screven Co. Friend Freeman 20/30 who married Jane Butler in 1828 Thomas Co., he moved to Jackson Co. FL. There were several Freeman's from the Screven area who took their families to Decatur Co. GA too.
My Richard's son Thomas James Freeman b.1831 moved to Jefferson Co. FL about 1852 with his 1st wife Elizabeth Walker.
We've been collecting all we can on the Freeman families in south GA and north FL, trying to see how they may all connect to each other. If you'd care to keep in touch maybe we can be of assistance to each other. Stan & Georgeanna email@example.com
