Thank you for the information. I have the copy of the death certificate #6812 but I can't prove it is Marie Frenette Halley. It lists her age as 45, date of death 26 Jul 1892, Born Eng?, cause organic heart disease, buried in county cemetery. I know the county cemetery was relocated so I don't think I'll find her grave. It appears she dies at "Mt Ocean Hotel"...can't really decipher (maybe you can give it a try). She lived in the state 10 years. Do you need a copy of the death certificate? How are you related? My daughter (through my ex-husband), is Mary Frenette and Ferdinand Halley's great granddaughter. Thanks for the 1870 information...I'll pull up the census record. I find a Frank and Mary Hawley in the 1880 census with a 1 year old daughter, Emma. I know that they had a daughter Louise, who married Adolph Hofmeister, a son Joseph, and a son Frank (my daughters great grandfather). Frank was born in 1891 and was raised by his sister and her husband (which leads me to believe the death certifcate is for his mother). I also have Ferdinand's obituary which lists her as Marie Halle Frenette. Maybe Emma was Louise's middle name or nickname. My personal e-mail address is [email protected] you want the death certificate or obituary, send me your email address.
