A Selena Frewer, a spinster, married my g. grandfarther, William Ling, a widower, on 14th January 1885 at the Congrgational Chapel, Sidney Street, Bethnal Green.Selina's father's name is given as William Quantrille Frewer whose occupation is given as engraver.I'm afraid i can't decypher the name of the street in which Selina lived but it was in the Mile End area of London. At the time of her marriage Selena's age is said to be 42 years (source: Copy of the entry in Book no. 7 regarding the marriage of William and Selena). Selina died on 2nd April 1916 (source: The Public Trustee).
In my g.grandfather' Will certain bequests are made to his son and daughter and the rest of the estate was left in trust to his dear wife for life and then to be devided 3 ways with one third going to his stepson, JamesLeonard Gore. James was Salena's son and therefore another line of enquiry if there is a connection with the Frewer's you're looking for.
In 1899 James and his mother were living at 56, Shrewsbury Road, Romford Road Forest Gate 8.
