This is a correction on the death information of Robert Fristoe Sr.If this ends up being a duplicate message, I apologize, but I have not yet seen my response on this forum, and the information I gave might have been confusing. So to clarify: Robert Sr.'s death date was not June 1833. In June of 1833, Rev. Robert L. Fristoe, son of Rev. Robert Fristoe Sr. (his wife was Elizabeth Lovell) officiated at the marriage of his niece Laura Fristoe. Laura was the daughter of Richard Marshall Fristoe of Jackson County, MO. Richard and Robert L. were brothers. I have seen the 1833 date reported as "Robert Fristoe died after 1833." Because both father and son had the same name, there has been a lot of confusion about this. But Robert L. was listed in the Lafayette County MO census in 1840. And Robert Fristoe Sr. was alive as of 1835 because he baptized the first convert of the newly created county of Benton in Mo. At that time he was living with one of his sons, Markham in Warsaw, MO.That event was from an eyewitness account given in a book on Henry County History by White and Miles published at The Printery in Clinton Mo in Henry Co, MO. There has been no definitive proof of where either the son Robert L. or the father Robert Sr. was buried. Some reports say TN and other say KY.But one fact is proven: Robert Sr. was alive in MO in Benton Co in 1835 (he was 84 yrs old). And Robert L. was alive and officiating at his neice's marriage in June 1833. I am a direct descendant of both Roberts, and I have been looking for proof of the death dates and places of both of them but have not yet found them.
