This is wonderful, are you doing research?
No one on the internet seems to be researching this Rahm Family.
William and Johanna are my husband's g-g-grandparents.Some of what I have:
Willam Rahm (Germany to New Orleans to Vanderburgh County, Indiana about 1849)m. to Yohanna Schmachtenburg, Germany, married May 30, 1834, Germany, their children, may not be in birth order:
Emilie Rahm (could this be Anna?), d. 1908 married John Gleichman
William Rahm, Jr. b. 1837, married Rosina Hart
Hulda Rahm, b. 1839, d. 1913, never married
Emil Rahm b. 1842, married Selma Duchman
Mathilda Rahm b. 1847, married Fred Grote
Laura Rahm b. 1840, married William Fritsch
Maria (Mary) b. bef. 1852 m. August Illing
Unknown Child Rahm, (could this be Fred?)
Ernst Rahm, b. 1852, married Mary Elsfelder.
I also have some of the above's children.
Maria (Mary)Rahm was my husband's g-grandmother, her daughter Ida, married George Schlamersdorf, one of their sons, Norman, was my husband's father.
Before Norman died, he listed out what he could remember as far as names go, I have been going through papers he saved, checking the libraries, and internets for connections. The library had several books on the history of Vanderburgh County that listed some of the Rahm. I have been trying to verify my information, but it hasn't been easy.
Would love to correspond further with you and exchange informtion. We are in Michigan, where are you?Hope to hear from you.
