Al,Please also read my summary that I have here on genforum, after you read this. My G granddad's nickname was Frank and his given names were Francis Albert. He said he was from Prussia, born 1834. Prussia at that time was a unit of several German states. He lived in Minn. and Wis. from 1866, after coming to the U. S., then in 1872 took a farm homestead in Red Willow Co., NE. He died in Indianola, Red Willow Co., NE, in 1929. His sons were Frederick, Charles, and William. I hope we connect.
