Thanks for responding to my old message.Genforum has not worked for years for me and am glad to be able to use it again.
My grandmother had a set of twins before my mother and a set after her.Neither set survived so I don't know if they were identical or fraternal.Twins are supposed to run in our family every other generation. For years have tried to follow the origination of these twins via the maternal lines to no avail.
Another medical fact is my mother died of cystic fibrosis which the gene must be carried by both parents for her to have gotten it.
Back to the twins though my grandmother had children while she was older, which was norm for the day, which increases the odds of twins.
I can't say for sure yet where my Fryar/Fryer line originates but it could have a German component.A German/UK connection is highly likely.
Haven't done any research in Australia yet but am familiar with the history of Australia and its early beginnings.
Have done some research on lines in the UK with some success...
Any chance you have a male Fryer who has submitted to a genealogical DNA test?Quickest way to see if there is a connection with any of the US Fryer lines....
