Julie, thank your for the additional information on Frederick FRYMAN. I did know that he served in the 2nd Missouri Infantry on the Confederate side, but didn't have the details. I haven't gotten his records, as I understand one has to write directly to the state for Confederate information.
Another researcher told me that Frederick FRYMAN and his brother John Thomas FRYMAN served on the Confederate side, and that they actually fought against their brother George S. FRYMAN at Vicksburg. All three survived.
There was another brother named Samuel Allen FRYMAN that has me a little curious. He died in 1864, at the age of 20. I have wondered whether he served as well and was killed in the war. I have no further information on him other than the fact that he is buried in Holt Co. MO.
