Since you didn't provide a clue as to the time period, I can't search the census records. However, the Social SEcurity Death Index includes this Charles Fugitt:
Charles Fugitt, SS# 453-42-0042;registered for Social Security in TX. born 9June 1892 died April 1969; last cxheck sent to Corpus Christi, TX
If this is your Charles, you should get his death certificate from the Texas State Dept. of Health, Bureau of Vital Statistics, 1100 West 49th St., Austin, TX 78756 It should contain the place of birth and names of his parents. Write or call (512) 458-7111 for the current fee.
You can also get a copy of his application for Social Security (which will also contain place of birth and names of his parents). There is a charge, but they will bill you after they search.Send all the info you have (including SS#) to:
Social Security Administration Freedom of Information Office 4-H-8 Annex Building 6401 Security Boulevard Baltimore, MD21235
After you get his parents' names and birthplace (at least a state), write me again and I will check for his ancestors if you want them.
