My mother was a Fulmer, and I traced her family back to Eberhard Ludwig Vollmer born in 1697, and further back to about 1530.Our Fulmer family line of descent is from Johann Jakob born 1743 in Unterhausen, Germany, son of Eberhard, to Matthias born in 1779 (son of Johann Jakob), to John C (son of Matthias) born 7-04-1801, to William C. (son of John), to Thurston J. W. (son of William) to William Wesley (my grandfather). The Fulmer's were one of 16 families emigrating from Germany in 1752 on the ship Caledonia. They arrived in SC,, some ended up in Coosa County, AL, some in Georgia, my mother's branch eventually went to Lafayette County, MS and onto Faulkner County, AR.I found a lot of info on the Fulmer's by typing in Unterhausen, Germany on Yahoo.I'm a beginner at this and am happy to share whatever I have found with others.
