Hi Barbara. Thanks for posting! I happen to live in Faulkner County, Arkansas! What's your mother's name? I'm really new to this genealogy stuff too. It all started with my daughter's history project, but I've been able to go all the way back to Hans Vollmer of Neuweller, Germany. There is some descrepancy on the date. I've seen both 1425 and 1470 for Hans but I haven't been able to verify which date is the correct one. Hans would be your decendant as well. My line goes like this Hans Vollmer (1425 or 1470) Neuweller, Germany; Michael Vollmer 1500-1546 Wildbad, Germany; Simplicius Vollmer 1530-1572 Wildbad, Germany; Simplicius the Younger 1563 Urach, Germany; Haynrich Vollmer 1590 Oberhausen, Germany; Johann Jakob Volmer 1626-1669 Oberhausen, Germany; Eberhard Volmer 1655-1726 Oberhausen, Germany; Eberhard Ludwig Volmer 1697-1753 Unterhausen, Germany 1st immigrant to US aboard Caledonia 1752, this is believed to be the time that "Volmer" evolved into "Fulmer"; Capt. Johan Jacob Fulmer 1744; Matthias Fulmer 1779; John C. Fulmer 1801; Daniel Matthias Fulmer 1828; Levi Matthias Fulmer 1859; Lythia Elizabeth Fulmer (Baker) 1889 (my great-grandmother). I'm not sure if you had it traced all the way back to Hans, so I hope this helps you. I haven't been able to go any farther back than that, so if anyone knows who was before Hans, please post it on here!
