Lt. William Furber, 1738+, Georgia

Looking for information on Lt. William Furber who came with the English Military detachment assigned to General James Olgethorpe to St. Simons Island Georgia about 1736 or just afterward.He is not found among those Military men who chose to stay in the area and settle after their military time was up.He may have come from England or the Northern Colonies.A large English regiment was stationed at Fort Frederica, St. Simons Island, Georgia between 1738 to 1749.Many of them were assigned at this Fort and later moved to another as with todays military.
