I'm starting to research my Furman line.I descend from: Jonathan Furman, b-1780 in NJ, d-1862 in PA son of William Furman, b-1757 in NJ, d-1826 in PA and Rachel Woolverton, b-abt. 1754 in NJ, d-1819 Jonathan married Sarah Howe, b-1783 in PA, d-1849 in PA
Jane Furman, daughter of Jonathan and Sarah (Howe) Furman was my 3rd g-grandmother.
Family lore has been that Jonathan Furman was with Washington at Valley Forge. That is obviously wrong since he wasn't born until 1780.However, information in Internet suggests Jonathan's father might have served in the Rev. War.Has anyone done any research on Furman's who served in the Rev. War and if so, would you be willing to share what you've found?
