I'm very excited to see your research on Heinrich Furrer which takes us back another generation -- to his parents.I am a descendant of Heinrich Furrer and his second wife, Russena Roffor. They had nine children:John (b. ca 1752), Paul, Leonard, Jacob, Mary, Catherine, Tobias, Henry II, and Adam.
My research on my Furr line has been very limited.I have some notes I took from a Furr genealogy when I was a young teenager, just getting interested in family history.Unfortunately, that was before I knew the importance of noting sources in detail.I have not been able to locate the book I took those notes from.
I have a typed copy of Heinrich Furrer's 1769 will from Mecklenburg County, NC and a photocopy of a 1762 land deed (as printed in a now unknown book)from NC Gov. Arthur Dobbs to Henry Furr in what was then Anson County, NC.(That part of Anson County later became Mecklenburg and in 1792 became Cabarrus County, NC.)
I would be willing to share the information I have. Hopefully, I will be able to identify the sources for the information I have and also add to it.I am very interested in your findings. The 1691 baptismal record for Heinrich is very exciting, along with the names of his parents!
