Angie Fuselier Grimsley has a website called Fuse's Ancestry.
Angie lists one AVIE Fuselier m. Nelwyn Ardoin.
Angie does not give dates, but Ortere Fuselier and Marie Fontenot's children (b. aft. 1904) and their spouses are listed in Generation #9.I mention AVIE because, the way French-speakers talk, AVIE and OVEY could be understood as either.
From my own files:
ORTERE Fuselier, the s/o Francois & Alida Reed m. 22 Dec. 1904 Marie Fontenot, d/o Eugene & Alide Billodeau (VP Ch.: v. 7, p. 123). Hebert published 41 volumes of SWLR beginning with the year 1750 and ending with the year 1909.
I have one ALBERT FUSELIER the s/o Joseph & Adelina Ringuet, b. 26 January 1899 (Jennings Ch.: v. 1, p. 2929) Hebert, V. 30, p. 195. I know this Albert cannot be the Albert who married Rosa and was the father of OVIE, but I have listed him because he may be a relative. Jennings Ch.: Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, P. Other places to check would include the Census. Ask your librarian if a library near you has a subscription to the Census Online atAncestry.com The Birmingham Library has a subscription and it lists the head of the household through 1920, as I recall. The best place to look for OVE born in 1888 would be the 1890 census, however, the 1890 Federal Census burned. The next best census year would be 1910. OVE/OVIE/AVEY should be listed with his SPOUSE.
There is no printed index for the census after 1880. Some states have what is called the SOUNDEXIndex - this is on microfilm. Ask your librarian for help.
The Social Security Death Index at Ancestry.com is also a good source. I found IRA FEJEY b. 7. March 1925 (SS # ISS TX) d. 8 May 1992, Houston, Harris Co., TX 77019.
Angie Fuselier Grimsley whose website I mentioned at the beginning of this messages, lives in Houston. Angie may be able to give you additional sources. wysig://4http://fortunecity.com/italy/411/page2.html
