Clarence, I just finished scanning through the Adams refs in the 1995 Anson Heritage book, and found nothing to shed further light--mostly later people. ('Ever notice the strange look genealogists get when they are offered, say, a name from the mid 19th Century and reply, "No, that's too recent for me"?) Did note in passing a statement thatWalkers and Littles of Anson came from Pitt. There were some Thomas Gadd(e)y land holdings in adjacent Martin, but again nothing more to establish a Gaddy-Adams tie. I hope you can solve the "Adams family" mystery.
