Please accept my apology for being so long in responding to you.I will be happy to share my information about Roger Earl Gaddy with you.His mother was Ruby Lee Wright Gaddy and his maternal grandparents were Walter Miles Wright, Sr. and Lilly Dale Wright. He had no brothers or sisters by Ruby and Ray Gaddy.He had three first cousins all of whom are still living but none of them, except me, knew Roger very well.Roger Earl and I lived with on Safie Mill Village in East Rockingham, NC at 55 King Edward Street and were were raised by our maternal grandparents, Walter and Lilly Wright.Roger attended Rohanen Grammar School and quit school in the ninth grade.He married a lady whose name I believe was Beverly and I think she lived on Aleo Mill Village in East Rockingham, NC.They had children whom I met but did not know well.I lost touch with Roger and his wife he went into the Army.We visited once or twice when I lived in Orangeburg, SC and he was stationed at Fort Jackson.
I will be glad to share with you or your wife any childhood memories, family acquaintances, facts or conversation in which you may have an interest.Roger Earl and I grew up together and lived in the same room until I left home to get a job and he left to go into the Army.
Roger and Ruby are buried at Richmond Memorial Gardens in Rockingham.The cemetery is located on Hwy 74 East of Rockingham.Ruby married again after Ray Gaddy and I knew her well because she was my mothers sister.I lost touch with Ray Gaddy when Roger and I were very young.
