ANTOINETTE "TONI" FRANZO went on the road to Glory August 18, 2001 following a courageous battle with cancer and heart disease. Born on December 6, 1928 to Joseph and Angela Gambino in Chicago, IL. Toni is preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Joseph Franzo; her parents and two brothers. She is survived by her daughters Judi Jones and Carol Schneider; sons-in-law Bill Jones and Craig Schneider; her granddaughters Jamie Schneider and Becky Schneider who were the joy of her life. She is also survived by her brother Angelo Gambino and his wife Jenny, sister Rose Patton and her husband Pat, many nieces, family and friends who will miss her dearly, Toni was a true example of Faith, Courage and Strength as she battled through many illnesses only to grow closer to God and to help show many of us what the Power of a miracle working God can do. The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Heyne and his staff with special gratitude to nurse/friend Janis Longley for their care during her illness. The family would also like to give a special thank you to Toni's caregiver Lynn Sybert for her care and love, to Bay Area Christian Church, Seabrook United Methodist Church, Bay Area Unitarian Church and many friends for their prayers for Toni and her family. The family will be receiving friends at Forest Park East on August 20 from 5pm to 8pm, with a celebration service of Toni's life on August 21 at 1:00pm also at Forest Park East.
