Ray,
Thank you so much for the information.
I appreciate your giving me the dates for Ausgustine II's birth and death - I do not have the right ones. However, his marriage to Sara Sappington and Augustine I being an Inspector at Indian Landing matches my oral history.
Would you be able to fill in the details about William, Joshua and Augustine I?All I have is that Joshua married Anne Marriott and that Augustine I was b. 1705, d. 1774 and married Comfort Stevens.I have no town names for any of them.I would also appreciate any information you can give me about John the father in England - especially the town. And where, how and when did William arrive here?
There is a family legend that someone in my branch of the Gambrill's married the maid and was dis-inherited.I wonder if that is why nothing is traced after Augustine II.I'll see if I can get a copy of the Issue 8 Children lineage you mentioned - this may have a lot of what I need.
Thanks again for your help,
Guy
