I am not a Gano researcher, but I thought those who are may be interested in a tidbit found in the latest issue of the New York Genealogical and Biographical RECORD, Vol 136, #4. There is an ongoing article entitled "Deaths from THE LADIES' MISCELLANY or THE WEEKLY VISITOR, New York, 1811," which lists death notices that appeared in these two old periodicals. On p.299 of the RECORD, there is the following entry:
Saturday, November 16, p.62 [of the original] "Died: On the 16th ult. in Frankfort, Kentucky, Dr. Isaac Gano, one of the first settlers of that country."
