To add more details to the above children, I have now received confirmation of details of 2 of them, Michael and Martin.
4) Michael was born October 18, 1813 in Harriwburg and died sometime between 1861 and 1891, probably in Northumberland County.He was a physician in Lewis Twp. He married Mary A._____ and they had at least 6 children: a) Lawrence (1835-1908) married Elizabeth(1827-1902) & had 5 children. Lawrence was a jeweller/watchmaker. b) Rebecca, born about 1837 c) Hannah, born about 1838 d) William, born about 1844 e) Amelia, born about 1850 f) John, born about 1853. All are found in the 1850 & 1860 Census for Lewis Twp, Northumberland, Pa
10) Martin, born sometime between 1825 & 1827 and died in 1891, married Lydia Scott(1849-1879), a daughter of William Scott of Philadelphia.They had one child only, son Martin B. Garman(1875-1915) who married Grace Lukenbach and lived in Bellefonte. Martin B. & Grace had no children.Martin Sr. operated a trading boat on the Mississippi during the 1840's and 1850's and moved to Philadelphia prior to the Civil War and bought the old "Blue Anchor Inn" (where William Penn supposedly first landed) and operated it until his death.
