This is an article from the March 16, 1898 edition of the Indiand Weeklyn Messenger (page 2) entitled:

So it appears the suit was between Lydia Ann Garman and her siblings (or the offspring of her siblings). The article goes on and mentions that it is concerning the partition of the real estate of the late Margaret Garman, late of Mechanicsburg, Indiana county, Pennsylvania, deceased. (Margaret was an older sister of Lydia Ann's.So the known children of Jacob and Mary from this article were Michael (married Elizabeth), Elizabeth (married David Henry), Peter (married Susanna Rice), Jacob (married Nancy), John (living next door to his father in census), Mary (from 1850 census), David (from 1850 census).Oddly, Lydia Ann, who was born abt 1839, is NOT in the 1850 census and I cannot find her anywhere. She could have been visiting relatives OR she could have been adopted which I suspect as she is not in the 1840 census either, and does not show up until the 1860 census, living with Jacob and Mary.In a later census, she and Margaret are enumerated with David and are listed as sisters.
Hope this helps out a bit.
