Francesco Garrisi was born in Trapani area @ 1850 we believe he worked for the city of Camporeale his wife Angelina was a schoolteacher. They had 6 children 1.Stefano 2.Maria b @1875 md Vincenzo Tarantola and had Stefano 1894 3.Francesco Jr., 1874(my wife's great grandfather) who came to NY 4/1906,10/1910 and in 1913 with his 3 children from Camporeale 4.Angelo 5. Vincenzo first to NY Jan 1903 lived near Brooklyn Bridge, 240 Elizabeth St., base in Brooklyn with his son Francesco and m-in-law.6. Providenza/Perunenza the sister b @1880 came to NY 6/16/1904 and stated to see brother Vincenzo at Elizabeth St. We know they all were in Camporeale but see many with this name in Balestrate nw of Camporeale. The brother Stefano or Angelo supposedly had a large hotel in/near Palermo. They seem to have stayed. Francesco Jr married Antonina Occhipinti b bef Oct 1873 She was also from Camporeale-dau of Salvatore and Antonia. S & A Occhipinti had 5 children 1. Guiseppa 2. * Antonina 3. Unknown sister 4.Coloja 5. Vincenzo md a Maria and had a son Rosario all came to NY-CALIF. Lastly Antonina and Francesco Garrisi had 3 children in Camporeale 1.Micheleangela(Pisciotta)2.* Vincenza 1903(Giovanni Grammatico)3. Francesco (1905) 4. Sam 1913 and 5. Mary (Sznna) Most moved to CALIF by 1930. The Grammantico were from Sicily but immigrated to Tunisia as did many others before to NY Brooklyn.
