Please contact me if you have any information or family connection to the GARVEY family below.One tiny bit of evidence places this Thomas Garvey family in 1825 in Islandeady, County Mayo.Don’t know whether this refers to the Roman Catholic Parish or the small village located half-way between Castlebar and Westport.There were probably more children, but I don’t know their names or where they ended up.Not sure, but a small pocket of Garveys living in present-day Kilhale, Glenisland, County Mayo, Ireland, might be related.I would love a reply from one of them.

ii.THOMAS GARVEY was born 1810 in County Mayo, Ireland; and died June 29, 1877, in the village of Mayo, Quebec, Canada; m. MARY BURKE, August 23, 1842, Buckingham, Quebec; b. 1818 in CountyMayo, Ireland; d. October 27, 1908, in the village of Mayo, Quebec, Canada.
iii.EDWARD GARVEY was born 1825 in County Mayo, Ireland; and died May 06, 1896, Gayville, Yankton County, South Dakota; m. BRIDGET SHERLOCK, 1850, in Buckingham, Quebec.Edward first moved his family from Canada to Dekalb County, Illinois, before settling in South Dakota.
