Mary moved to Bolton to marry William Field in 1871. I believe she was part of the family of James and Catherine in the 1851 and 1861 census but of course have no proof. Mary was born in Armagh according to the 1881 census. John Garvey was a witness at her wedding. I presumed he was her brother. Her father was James Garvey, a gardener who was deceased in 1871. Mary went on to have children John, James Catherine and Francis. These matched names of children of James and Catherine, but were not uncommon in catholic families from Ireland. John Garvey who married Ann Doyle also had children John and Thomas.
