I'll check her out...but think that's pretty far from Greene co.....you know I';m pretty sure his will said "her" children, Almira and James....that always made me think there was a first wife....and that 15 to 20 yr. old(in 1840 census) could be another wife's child and he got his inheritance already..also already poked around in Stark co., Ohio...but will check more.....there was a John there but he seemed to stay there when mine was already down in Greene Co., Ill......You've given me mucgh to think about......Thanks again....and I looked at the Gaskill piece but out of ink or I would have printed it out......didn;t see the John you thought was mine... mine was born 1789???something like that....and I bet if that 15 to 20 yr. old in 1840 was a son, then he was named for his father.....might have been a farm worker....
