Dr. Peter Franklin Marion Geer is my great-grandfather.I submitted the information to the Calhoun County, GA history book that has been referenced to in messages regarding this ancestor.According to records from the Calhoun County Courthouse list of medical practitioners, he was a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia which is located in AUGUSTA, GA.
According to newspaper obituaries, Dr. Geer and his wife, Caroline Elizabeth Blocker, died within two weeks of each other of pneumonia in Nov. 1884 leaving my grandfather, William Idus Geer, and his five brothers orphans.Ralph and Walter died as children.One had congestive heart failure and the other had kidney failure (Bright's disease).
