We may have a match here.Franklin Geise (b. May 22, 1837 - d. May 1, 1900) did have a brother named Henry. They were the sons of George & Elizabeth Reiley Geise of Paradise Township, which is west of York and not that far from Hanover.According to Frank Geise's obituary, he had two sisters but only their married names were given:Mrs. Brown of Hametown and Mrs. H. Leyler of Paradise Township.
His will mentions nieces and nephews Frank W. Brown, Henry Brown, Catharine Brown, Annie R. Spangler, Naomi Jacobs, E. A. Geise, and Lewis M. Fissel. He also left $1,500 to his housekeeper, Mrs. Ida J. Pfleiger, and $200 more to her son, Adam W. Pfleiger.[Insert wink here.]He also left a lot of money to F & M College in Lancaster, although he had not attended school there.(F & M doesn't seem to remember anything about the bequest, however.)
A look at the 1850 & 1860 censuses might tell us something.
