My previous post contains an error. Thank you to Peter Morgalla for drawing this to my attention. My apologies to anyone who I've misled.
The Ann(e) GELDER baptised on 29 Oct 1820 in Darfield is not the same as the Ann GELDER who married William JOHNSON. I now have a copy of the marriage certificate for Ann GELDER and William JOHNSON (my great-great-grandparents) . William's Ann was the daughter of George GELDER, NOT the daughter of Thomas Roberts GELDER. The IGI has a baptism record that probably is the baptism record of "my" Ann. She was baptised on 24 Sep 1820 in Worsborough, Yorkshire, the daughter of George GELDER and Mary. Her mother was probably Mary COOPER who married George GELDER on 11 Oct 1804 in Worsborough.
Based on IGI records, I Have tentatively listed the offspring of George GELDER and Mary COOPER as: John bapt 15 Jun 1806 Worsbro Hannah bapt 19 Jun 1808 Worsbro Mary bapt 23 Sep 1810 Worsbro George bapt 15 Aug 1813 Worsbro Martha bapt 22 Mar 1818 Worsbro Ann bapt 24 Sep 1820 Worsbro
I would be greatful to anyone who has access to census records for that part of Yorkshire if they are able to provide confirmation of this reconstruction or let me know if any of the above children don't belong to George GELDER and Mary COOPER.
Ann GELDER married William JOHNSON on 13 Jul 1845 in Darfield, Yorkshire. I have not traced her death record, but based on year of birth of her youngest child and the date of William JOHNSON's remarriage, she died sometime between 1859 and 1861.
I have information on Ann GELDER and William JOHNSON's descendents which I am willing to share with anyone who is interested in this branch of the family.
