Not that I know of. My Genet line came to the U.S. in 1794 with Edmond Genet (aka Citizen Genet) at the time of the French revolution as ambassador to the U.S. He stayed in the U.S. after he was recalled because he would have been beheaded upon return to France, as he was of the Girondist party which had gone out of power to the party of Robespierre. They settled in New York and he married Cornelia Clinton, daughter of George Clinton, first governor of New York and later vice president to Jefferson and Madison. He later married Martha Osgood, daughter of Samuel Osgood, first postmaster general of the U.S., and settled in Greenbush, Rensselaer Co. N.Y., near Albany.
