Has anyone made progress on the Genoble/Genobles/Ginobles research?
There seem to be two "John Genoble" listings in the 1850 census for Spartanburg County, SC. One is found indexed as Genable and the other as Jenoble, but they both look like Genoble to me. Relationships to head of household are not shown. The similarities of the children's names made me wonder if different census takers had hit the same household but the pages are done one day apart by the same census taker.

Robert Genobles and Hiram Genobles were the SC Infantry in the Civil War.And Robert was listed as John R.But which of the Roberts above is the right one?
J.R. Ginobles age 43 is listed on the 1880 census in Glenn Springs, Spartanburg County, SC.
Also in Glenn Springs in 1880, was this individual, who was born about 1803.
