I was delighted to receive your reply and am happy to share information from my mother's book with you. Will E. Parham, an early 20th century researcher, indicated that Claiborne Marcus DeLafayette was born 1835, died 1916 and married Nancy Catherine Byerley. He was a farmer, surveyor and Justice of the Peace. He lived 6 miles northwest of Maryville, TN. His father was Alexander O. George who died in 1879 and married Elizabeth (Sarah Elizabeth DeFreese Paul) on December 24, 1822. His second wife was Caroline Johnson whom he married on January 15, 1867 and had no issue. His children with Elizabeth were: Arminia who died single; Charlotte who married Stephen Hitch on September 16, 1829; twins: James, b. 2/28/1830 and married Tibithis C Rowdon and Addison who died single; Elizabeth who died single; Rebecca who married Josiah Ballenger on September 3, 1854 in Blount Co, TN; Claiborne Marcus DeLafayette (above) and Nancy who died single. My mother's book does not cover the above information. Her book discribes Edward George who died in 1798 in Jefferson Co. Tn and his children Silas, Rebecca George Sellers, Elizabeth George McCullough, Amy George Kerr, Martha George Wallace, Edward and Samuel. She then traces the family to Pennsylvania and Wales. You seem to have this information. I shall be glad to share her research. If you would still like a book, let me know.
