I am quite sure the Georges were related. My ancestor, Carl David George, b. abt 1780 in SC, came to the Georgetown, Mobile County, area about 1800 in covered wagons with the Malone, Griffin, Lott, Williams and Monk families.I do not have the names of any siblings of Carl David who may have also been part of this migration.
Carl David George had 11 children:Joseph (my ancestor), b. abt 1810, Travis, Wesley, Mose, Isaac, Claiborne, Turner (married a Griffin, his daughter, name unknown, married a Malone, their daughter was Cammie Malone Havens, b. about 1860, d. in 1960s), Jim, Em (married a Monk), Caroline and Susan (married a Malone - probably the one on your list).
Joseph George had one son, Isaac, b. 1833, (my ancestor) by first wife who died soon after Isaac was born.Joseph married again and had 9 children:Joseph (moved to Bogalusa, LA, Sim (moved to Biloxi, MS), Travis, Angus, Mose, Caroline, Em, Cammie, and Claiborne.Claiborne had one child, Lena, who Married a Scoggins who was a seaman. She taught Latin at LSU and had 10 sons.In 1964 she was still living in Slidell, LA.
What is your connection to these families? We obviously have some matches with the names you are researching.
