co., Virginia with his family in 1778.m. 1st. c1801, Hannah Yonley [Onley]

Barrett, b. 1797, daughter of Thomas & Elizabeth (Thornbrough) Barrett.
James & Mary, with their son, David relocated from Hopewell MM, Virginia,
September 9, 1830.
James migrated over the mountains to Highland County, Ohio in 1830 with his
His son Jesse was then about 22 years of age.The long journey over the
mountains and down and across innumerable mountains was made with a [oxen]
Mary d. April 13, 1855.James George d. August13, 1850.
James & Mary are laid to rest in the Hicksite Quaker cemetery in Paint Twp.,
Highland Co., Ohio.
Highland Co., Ohio Book 3, pg. 56; Book 4, pg 281 387, 583.Book 6pg,
533; b. 7, pg. 85, 7, pg 217 and Book 8, pg 142 mentions a} James George of
Hampshire co., Virginia.
A Minerva George is living with the family and is mentioned in James
George's will, dated the 22nd day of the 4th month 1839, as "a little girl
now living with us." Minerva was b. in Ohio in 1829 & is listed with Mary
George in the 1850 census.
Note: In November 11, 1860, a Minerva Jane
Barrett relocated from Center MM to Fairfield MM.
