Dortha, is this the Benjamin George who was given the charge over an orphan named Cassie? Here is some of the information I have gathered on these families. Please check and see if you recognize any of them. Haywood County, TN, County Court Minutes C/387 - 1 Oct, 1838 Cassia Glenn, an orphan, was bound to Benjamin George, Sr. Cassia was about 13 years old (Ibid 455). Catherine "Cassie" Tucker, her husband, James Glenn and their children apparently headed west fromLincoln Co., TN. and got as far as Haywood Co., TN. before stopping. Both Cassie (d. abt. 1834) and James (d. abt. 1836) died in Haywood County. We don't know the cause of Cassie's death but James is reported to have died of a "ricochet bullet".
