My Georges lived in both Clarion and Armstrong Counties. I have not been able to trace farther than my grgrgr-grandfather, MARTIN L GEORGE b: July 15, 1812 in Westmoreland Co. d: June 30, 1854 buried in the Walley Family Cemetery in Bradys Bend, Armstrong Co. Martin married ANNA DAVIS also born in Westmoreland Co. From what I've been able to piece together they then moved to Mercer Co. where some of their children were born and then onto Armstrong Co. I found them on the 1850 census in Perry Twp, Armstrong Co. Their children are:
JOSIAH E. b: June 1834 d: April 18, 1854 - Buried with his parents in Bradys Bend - Walley family cemetery
LOUISA b: Abt. 1835
REUBEN b: November 20, 1837 d: July 29, 1906 in East Brady, Clarion Co. m: MARY JANE MILLER of Perry Twp, Clarion Co.
VICTOR B. b: September 05, 1839 d: July 14, 1918 - Buried in West Monterey, Clarion Co. 1st wife HORTENSIA A. MONTGOMERY - 2nd wife CARRIE WALLEY EVANS
CHRISTIAN H. b: abt 1841
MARTIN W. b: abt 1843
MARY b: October 15, 1845 d: 1923 - Buried in Perryville Cemetery, Perry Twp, Clarion Co m: MATTHEW WALKER YINGLING (marriage not yet verified)
SUSAN b: abt 1848
I haven't been able to figure out the connection between the Georges and the Walleys other than Victor who married Carrie Walley in 1886. So they must have other ties to this family. There are some other Georges buried in the Walley family cemetery, but I have no idea who they are. Hopefully someone else might know how they might fit in.
