So sorry - Something went wrong in putting this on this site before and this is the corrected version; I'm descended from, and desire to know the ancestry of, Eunice Palmer who married Gershom Gillett, who fought in the Revolution (don't know marriage date). She was born about 1760, and he, 1755. They had children; Wilkes, Eunice, Eleazor, Susannah, but most of all Liberty, from whom I'm delightfully descended, born (not 1767 as reported but evidently) 1776. I had heard Eunice was the daughter of Elihu and Lois (Foster) Palmer, but when I investigated, that didn't seem possible. Her husband, Gershom Gillett, was of Lebanon , Windham Co. CT, and he and Liberty moved first to Canton PA, then Geneseo NY. I'm going to post this on the Palmer and Gillett boards as well as the Wilkes board, on the chance, that Eunice's name may not have been Palmer, as has always been reported, but perhaps Wilkes, since the name of her first born son? I expect Palmers and Wilkes, her father and mother's family? Eeeks - Please, I hope someone can solve this mystery of Eunice's ancestry. Thank You - Andrew.
