I do not descend from Burr. I do descend from Adams. Someone posted this on the internet about them: Margaret Francis Burr family came from London with William Adams in 1665. (when they say London perhaps this is where they got on the ship.) Francis son James Gilliland married Hannah Adams. William became a bookbinder in Philadelphia. His son was Joseph Adams born 1705 in Pennsylvania and died 1801 West Fallowfield Twn. Chester Cty, Pa. He had 13 children. Joseph's son was James Adams married Isabella Weldon. I descend from James son John Adams who died in Crawford Cty, Pa. His brother James died in Venango Cty, Pa near Crawford Cty, Pa. This James in Venango Cty. married Moses Corey son of W.E. Corey former president of U.S. Steel in Pittsburgh. The family hired Gilbert Cope, to write their family history and the writer falsely stated that the Adams family descended from John Adams and Elizabeth Fenwick and this is not true. He did this because the Fenwick's descended from royalty. Back then rich people wanted to puff themselves up to make them look more important. The Corey family wanted the Adams family to look more important. If they came from Ireland they were probably of Scottish descent, Reformers living on plantations in Ireland.
