Thomas Girty had a son named George bn @ 1791. Also, Thomas Jr Girty had a son named George who lived in Ohio and remained there until his death, according to descendants of George Girty of Ohio and descendants of Thomas Girty. The Girty descendants of Ohio know nothing of "any" connection to the Delaware or any other Indian Tribe. I would appreciate if you would refrain further from using the term "half-breed" as this is a slur and a form of racism. Half white/half Indian would be much more acceptable. Being married to a lady of mixed culture and knowing the discrimination she endured as a child and young woman is pain enough. Simply because that term was the "language" of the day is not justification for perpetuating the sterotype of 200 years+ today. Facts and records, i.e. birth, death, etc. are much more difficult to document among native americans; much of this is traceable by culture, custom and movement of the Indian people during the early 1800's until 1850/1875.
